A time to practice your own practice with new insights, adjustments and additional pieces of work to facilitate more space. Anatomical insights to take the strain away from the joints, and increasing strength to hold joints in equilibrium. Lucy will work with you in the Asana - whatever your current practice.

Exploring Effort, Softness, and the Power of Spirals
Immerse yourself in a led class that explores your relationship to gravity and provides a fresh perspective on asanas from the Primary Series. Using the floor and the walls as mirrors for your body, you will embark on a journey of effort and effortless softening and releasing. Gain a conscious orientation to your fascia, experiencing its lengthening, softening, and transformative power. Discover a heightened awareness of the breath, the ribcage, and the vast inner space of your being. Delve into explorations of twisting and turning as you gracefully spiral your way into various asana forms. Embrace the supportive nature of spirals in backbends and conclude this session by strengthening the muscles of your back to inform the opening of your front body. How we notice this all play out can allow us to land the awareness of ourselves, and our physical practice, in the present moment. Again and again, This short workshop will play with both breathing and mindfulness techniques in relation to movement awareness and the patterns of ashtanga yoga we know so well. Noticing the constant and ongoing interplay between asana reference points and a mindfulness based awareness is the ground from which we can become deeply embodied in practice. We will reflect on how this can be the base from how we move in our practice and the world…
